Finally found an affordable code reader which can read my 2008 mk1 ABS error!

The famous YouTube mechanic Scotty Kilmer was right about this one! It costs £99. None of the code readers I tried, even those 3x the price and similarly, couldn't read the ABS fault code on my 2008 Honda Jazz! I did return all of them previously. This one did it, it is a faulty motor in ABS module. This one is a keeper and it is not going back. Updating the reader was straight forward using the included guide and it has lifetime free updates with the latest ones dated at the begining of August 2024.

I am so glad I came across this random short video from Scotty, who pointed me to this one! Garage wanted £40 to diagnose the fault, so in practice this code reader already saved me £40 + I will be able to replace the faulty ABS module myself using exchange service on Ebay, where they post you a refurbished one and you send them your old one. Possibly hundreds saved right there! Happy days! Love my Jazz, I will run this one to the ground, it is a keeper!

Excellent post.    Working out which one to buy is overwhelming as there are so many, so a solid recommendation is fantastic.

I have Autel down as a good brand for diag tools, heard great things about them and they are not expensive.
