Trailer connection direction indicators are dead
« on: August 22, 2024, 06:11:10 PM »
My old trailer created a short circuit on blinker wiring. After that both blinker pins on my 2019 Jazz trailer connection stopped working. In the car blinkers work flawlessly. Is there a separate fuse for trailer connection blinkers of where could the fault be? Jazz's fuse logic is almost non-existent, and fuse boxes are scattered around the vehicle so plain old-fashioned "check the fuses" needs some specifying. Or is there a separate controller, which got damaged?

In my mk3 Jazz there was a small box in the booth connected to 12V and to the left and right tail lights. The output of this box was a 7 or 13 pin trailer cable. So maybe that box needs to be reset or might be faulty.
Good luck!

Thank you! Can you remember where the box was located?

When you remove the bottom cover, it should be left or right from where the spare goes. It looks like this: example.
