Engine switches off when AC is on
« on: September 13, 2023, 07:07:27 AM »
Hi all

I've noticed my car engine occasionally switches off when the AC is on simultaneously and the car is idle waiting at red light. I then have to switch off the car entirely and turn back on. Any ideas? Could it be CVT fluid? I also haven't changed it yet and previous owner changed it at 50k miles (now on 95k). How important is it to change?

Would you let the forum know-
Last service date/mileage and present mileage
What changes/parts fitted immediately before the current stalling.
Any other issues ?

CVT fluid should be changed every 2 years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first. This is extremely important and you must use the correct transmission fluid.
