CENTRAL LOCKING JAZZ 2003-PARTIAL OPERATION
« on: April 14, 2010, 08:44:15 PM »
I have a 2003 Jazz, There is no remote locking facility but opening or shutting the driver's door and hatch door with the ignition key should open or close all the doors.I have just noticed that operating as above no longer operates the rear driver's door lock although the locking tab does move fractionally and there is a distinct clunk from inside the door each time. I have squirted WD 40 into the door locks and down the offending locking tab but to no avail. Any ideas??

Regards Rockford

This is Rockford replying to my own thread as the problem with the door locking is apparently solved! The problem apparently lay with a very low battery. The morning after I posted my query I tried to start the car and got absolutely nothing except a glow from the indicator lights on the dash.I checked the battery and topped it up. Got a jump start and after several runs all is up to speed and the central locking is working fine.
Hope this is of help to someone
