Fuel flap release
« on: April 03, 2010, 08:28:39 PM »
Here's a question I hope I never need the answer to in a rush!!

A friend has just had a problem releasing the fuel flap on his car (not a Jazz) and it led me to wonder whether the Jazz has a remote release for the fuel flap?

Any thoughts/experience please?

Well my 2007 model Jazz has a locking pin that locks the flap when you lock the car.

There is no remote release for this fuel flap.

On the GE model, there are instructions to open the flap manually on page 424 of the handbook!

Well the 2002-2008 model Jazz has a locking pin that locks the flap when you lock the car.

There is no remote release for this fuel flap.

My 07 Jazz has this but my 53 plate Jazz had a locking fuel cap.

Sorry guys I wasn't vey clear.

We have the GD Jazz on an 05 plate.

From the answers so far it seems there is no remote release for the pin operated by the central locking.
