Anyone else had this problem?
« on: January 18, 2021, 03:31:01 PM »
I have a crosstar - Car starts as normal, put into drive or reverse (handbreak off) press the accelerator but nothing happens (no acceleration)
this has happened 3 times in the past few weeks.
Turn engine off, restart and all back to normal, I've no idea why this happens, anyone else had this?

I think there’s a setting for “disengage parking brake on throttle application”. Check its status when you experience the issue vs when you don’t - would be interesting to see if it’s glitching.

I had this or a similar problem just after I had my Hybrid Jazz in July 2020, the car would roll forward but no drive. I haven't noticed it recently, I suspected at the time that I had tried to drive off before the Ready to Drive message had appeared on the dash board screen. Most of the time in colder weather the engine starts when driving away from being parked much more often than in the summer.

Also make sure you’re starting it with your foot on the brake

I do start with foot on brake and it starts as normal but depressing the throttle nothing happens.
Turn off, Restart and all ok.
