Replacing CM mirrors with V mirrors
« on: July 11, 2020, 05:29:30 PM »
Hello, I am hoping someone can help me.

My jazz is an se and has power folding and heated mirrors. Unfortunately both mirrors need replacing for the MOT.
I have managed to get two mirrors in the same colour as the car, but upon removing one of the mirrors i noticed the connectors for the mirror i removed was white whereas the ones i purchased are grey.

When i look on the underside of the mirrors, i noticed the ones i removed from the car have a CM sticker, whereas the ones i purchased have a V sticker.

I do not know what the differences are, but i am not interested in the folding funciton, all i want is the mirrors to work for the indicators and position.

I have noticed that the wires for each mirror are the same colour coding, and was just wondering if it would be a case of splicing the replacement mirrors onto the removed mirrors connector.

Any help is greatly appreciated, as i have tried googling this, and not had much joy.

Many Thanks
Chris

Just to update this post. A mechanic looked into these mirrors and found that the only difference was the plug style. The wires were exactly the same colour etc. One happy driver once more.

Good news.

Thanks for updating the post with the conclusion. Will be useful for anyone searching the forums with the same question in the future.
