It seems that Honest John's weekly online agony column has stalled. There are rumours that this may be connected to a change of ownership or possibly financial problems. Does anyone have any insight which may throw any light on the situation?

Yes - he is absolutely passionate about it and not just branded but the super petrols like V Power. For people like me who have the automotive equivalent of hypochondria, he's a nightmare! I never gave it a thought until I read an article by him some years ago.

I was quite active on his forum until a few years ago but if anyone even queried what he'd said he often deleted the thread.  A bunch of people broke away and set up another forum because of it.

I like his car reviews as it gives you info on the faults of each car. But his answers to your problem is usually too brief...having said that, I have you guys, I don't need to go elsewhere, LOL!

Honest John still has a weekly column in the Saturday edition of The Telegraph where he also recommends high grade petrol and diesel.
