Noise when accelerating
« on: November 02, 2019, 01:27:14 PM »
Hi.my 52 plate se cvt is noisy when accelerating on low revs/speed.
When i get past round 25/30 miles noise goes away. Its like a louder engine noise...no clue what it could be,had a gearbox flush recently w added revitalizer so i doubt it's the box... Got 75k on the car.
Thanks

My wifes 1.4idsi has developed a noise on the pulley side of the engine it sound like something hollow vibrating.cant for the life in me pinpoint it.sll heat shields are solid .cat is fine.exhaust system is fine no loose baffles.its definetly from the side of the engine where the pulleys are.worse when under load but does quieten on higher revs .it could be mistsken as s grating noise.the cvt gearbox is nice and quiet.all honda service history.so i too need a bit of help.also chsnged deflector pulley on aux belt last year.
