Fitting Sat Nav,Dash Cam front and rear

[gifv]I know that this is an old topic one way or the other, But I am quite pleased with the results and  thought perhaps others might be interested.
Sat nav is attached to holder inserted into CD slot,I do not use the CD player. and is easily removed when not required
cable virtually invisible supplied from socket below so very short it is fed neatly up to sat nav   whilst in use, when not required it lays over steering wheel housing and neatly slips out of sight.
Front Dash cam is fitted see photo, cable is not visible at all just a couple of inches to Camera then fed to arm rest power socket via head lining and passenger door rubber seal etc etc. it is within wiper area and not visible from drivers view.
 Rear Dash  Cam  is fitted see photos I have slid a small sheet of clear perspex under each of the plastic housing in roof lining and suction cap is firmly stuck onto this, cable is fed from dual power socket adaptor in central arm rest via door cill plastic covers etc along and under the boot side panel behind boot light  and up through roof lining to Dash Cam, again the  only cable showing is about a couple of inches .

Job jobbed and all working as it should be and within legal requirements regarding windscreen location etc. very neat but time consuming.

I purchased this item from Amazon  for my Garmin Sat Nav ,there are others if you search Amazon that you may prefer

Just a word of caution. In our last MOT for our MK1 Jazz, the MOT tester said that they have recently changed the rules on MOT testing which prohibits having anything attached to the windscreen. He didn't specify whether it was the whole windscreen or just the area swept by the wiper blades but we just decided to err on the side of caution and not have anything stuck on the windscreen.

My last MOT, less than a month ago, I had my Sat Nav and Dash Cam stuck to the windscreen and nothing was said. My Sat Nav is at the bottom of the screen, right in front of the driver, in Zone A for chips.

Being a Belt and Braces man,I will remove it on the Day,  I wonder will this "ANYTHING" apply to a National Trust Sticker ?  but if the windscreen thing is the order of the day I shall make up a suitable bracket from The Rear View Mirror Housing this of Course Will NOT be  then STUCK on the windscreen and therefore will comply with any little" Hitlers" that one should come across in the execution  (pardon the pun) of there employment.
Of course if anyone should have a better solution  regarding bypassing this as usual ludicrous regulation I would be most interested.

Our dashcam is located exactly as jocko and just been returned to me after service and mot today

Absolutely no mention of dashcam and just a small advisory to let me know both back shock absorbers show sign of misting but they’ll check it next mot

Nothing  was said about the dashcam at my HR-V's MOT last March. It is mounted to the left of the enormous lump behind the mirror which contains the car's camera and whetever else. I can barely see the dashcam from the driving position so it doesn't interfere with my view. I can however, understand objections to any devices stuck on the windscreen which interfere with the driver's view of the road. I've seen plenty of satnavs stuck on in such positions.

3.1 Field of vision
You must inspect all windscreens, including windscreens that open.

How to inspect:

Sit in the driver's seat.
Check the driver’s field of vision through the windscreen.
Check the driver’s field of vision through the front side windows.
You should only fail the windscreen if the view is significantly affected. If only the driver’s view of the sky or the bonnet is affected, it should not be rejected.
