Fixing the lousy boot :-/
« on: June 20, 2016, 09:27:04 AM »
Hi,

So this is the third Jazz I've owned and there are several things I don't like about it but the biggest bugbear is the crappy boot. The Mk2 was a fantastic design and implementation. For those who don't know it the 'spare wheel well' was carpeted and the boot floor was of decent solid construction. It folded in the middle (as does the Mk3) but included a small cargo net area. When pushed back it had lugs that located in the floor to keep it back.

The new boot is awful in comparison. Some flimsy hardboard covered in felt (mine is already buckling from the weight of my golf bag) and when you remove the useless chunk of polystyrene it's not carpeted. Does anyone know if the boot floor from the Mk2 would fit an Mk3? Or is anyone making an aftermarket upgrade?

I tried the foam under the boot floor from my Mk2 in the boot of the Mk3 which did not fit and I suspect the boot floor would not fit either.
