new used. jazz and millage
« on: June 18, 2015, 01:28:31 PM »
My friend as just been offered a 2005 honda jazz 1.4 automatic with 61k on the clock for £2500 and her 2002 jazz 1.4 automatic with 95k on the clock. She just wanted to know if that was a good deal and was worried if the millage was to high as this would have to last her a good few years

I have a 2011 Jazz that has 160k on the clock, doesn't use a drop of oil, and runs as good as the day I took delivery with 6 miles on the clock, so don't worry too much about the mileage.

Check for service history, I am just not sure that its worth £2500 to get a car 3 years newer (unless theres a problem with your 2002 Jazz).

Thanks for the reply. She's been looking around and not much on offer Jazz wise with low millage for her budget. One of the reasons she wants to upgrade is her jazz is starting to have a few little problems that would might end up costing a bit to much add to get repaired in the end so she was thinking of just tryingg to get a more up-to-date model. If the millage doesn't really matter with a jazz what she best looking for as she can get a more up to date model but will have a lot more millage than she would of looked at before

The facelifted 2005 does have some improvements over the earlier cars, but be careful of the gearbox, lots of '05 cars had bearing issues.
