My thoughts on my new (to me) Jazz so far.

A likable car over all.

What I like:
1. Fuel costs lowered at fill up time!!!!
2. No of park spaces I can get into just doubled.
3. Magic seats are truly magic, so utilitarian.
4. Front seats are good and driver's seat has height adjustment.
5. Cabin feels roomy for a city car.
6. All round electric windows (handy when some now only have manuals in back.)
7. Extra 100 miles (and we're talking city miles) per tank!

What I don't like, most of them are minor gripes though:
1. Ride is jolty (but I knew that when I read the reviews). Ok for short journeys though. But has passengers telling me to slow down when I'm merely keeping to speed limit. Is it due to plastic suspension mounts?
2. Door weather stripping on outside all marked up with stains looks a lot older than 5 years.
3. Internal door weather stripping seems too thin as when door shut with a little force whole car resonates. I'm for ever reminding passengers to '...close doors gently.'
4. To replace headlight bulbs you'll be undoing the inner front wheel arch inserts. Messy in the middle of winter then.
5. The indicator lights in the wing mirrors are led's and are not replaceable.  Shouldn't be a problem because LED's have a much longer life than regular filament bulbs. However I regularly see cars of all makes driving around with one or two burnt out LED's in a brake light strip. I'm guessing these wing mirrors are several hundred pounds each to replace.
6. I need an auto for city driving I always seem to be behind someone driving 10mph under the speed limit, forcing me to drive around in 3rd gear. But I didn't go for auto because I don't trust cvt's and idrives long term i.e. 10 years. I'm guessing they just couldn't get the efficiency with torque converters. So manual for me after 10 years of driving torque converter auto.
7. Rear head rests were removed I simply can't see well enough when backing for my liking with the things in. They just stand up too tall.
8. Over all image of car is not, if I'm honest, my first choice, but due to circumstances I'm in for the punt and the car is winning me over a little bit each day. Keep thinking utility, efficiency, utility, efficiency.
9. No warning light on dash for a failed rear brake light! This seemed to be standard feature (to have a warning light) on all Japanese cars ten years ago! So I'll be checking my brake lights every now and then in a convenient shop window.
10. No centre arm rest. Car feels incomplete without one. Remedied with centre arm rest direct from China had to be screwed in place to make it secure.
11. No fan of the uncovered storage spaces in the front.

Most of the things I don't like are due to the fact that it's a small car and space is tight and compromises have to be made. However I feel that Honda could have a world beater if they upped the quality, and tweaked the design a bit.

Does anyone know what the space inside the boot on RHS, high up on side wall is suppose to be used for!?

I use it as permanent stowage for stuff that could get mislaid/buried in a packed boot. Fluorescent safety jackets and first aid kit for example.

That space in the boot wall is where the can of tyre fixing gunk lives in mine (GE).
