Tuning - Sacrilege I know..!
« on: November 30, 2008, 06:09:08 PM »
Have been considering increasing my Jazz's power output to increase acceleration.

Don't want it to have a noisy engine or exhaust and ideally want to retain a degree of economy and engine integrity.  I have heard Mugen may provide parts, and there might be tuners out there that specialise in Jazzs.  Googling hasn't yielded any satisfactory results for the UK.

Can anyone suggest anything?

The jazz is available with a 1.5 vtec unit but for some reason not for sale in the uk

Pity cause that would make the jazz perfect

There isn't the market over here for tuning parts.

There is no guarentee that Mugen parts for JDM models will fit Euro cars.

The UK is not the place for tuning any Jazz, however the Modified car brigade should be able to advise about a huge £'sssssssssss conversion with VETEC engine gearbox.
Tuning firms in USA thrive as they do in Aus
Try Spoon and other Japanese sites.
After you spend your £'s on a Jazz you may as well buy well used CRX or Civic then convert at your leisure, alternsatively if you like a risk import a car already converted

Carefull there....1st and 2nd gen CRX are potentially very collectable and one would be wise to leave well along as unmolested cars are future classics. Much better idea would be to restore a tatty CRX to original condition rather then inflict an Ali G-style mauling.

The later one [CRX] from the '90s is less desirable and rarer.
