CIGAR LIGHTER SCOKET
« on: April 07, 2026, 12:51:58 PM »
Hi Does the Jazz have a cigar lighter socket. I can't find mine, nor find the entry in the manual?

Thanks

I'd be very surprised if it doesnt have one.   On the Mk4 its called 'accessory power socket' . Maybe also on the  mk1.      They dont tend to supply a press in-cigarette lighter element these days so the socket may be hidden under an unobtrusive flip off cover.

My 2007 and 2009 Civics both came with fag lighters

The top picture of the cigarette with rising smoke had to be twisted to the correct position for OCD
Let's be careful out there !

You can buy replacement  'lighter' sockets  for less than £3.   If its replacing a faulty one  most of the  hard work is already done -such as cutting a hole ,wiring etc    (although sometimes you might need to attach the wire by soldering. )
They can also be used to add a second socket,, which in some situations may be a better option than using twin socket adapters etc. But you have to be careful not to overload the wiring  by running two sockets, capable of drawing 20 amps  each, from just one supply wire.. You might take care not to overload the sockets  but a subsequent owner might plug in   high amp items such as tyre pumps, electric cool boxes etc .
