Should I keep my EXL
« on: March 30, 2026, 12:07:59 PM »
I'm very fond of my lovely brown car.
I'm one of the younger Jazz owners. I do get teased a bit about my choice.
I've had this one for about 6 years now. It's a 2013 EXL CVT with the heated leather seats and panoramic roof. It's done about 70,000 miles now that have been trouble free.
The only issue I have at times is with the awful state of the roads. The ride is a bit harsher than in a bigger car with bigger wheels and bouncier tyres.
Should I be thinking about changing my car now at this age and mileage?
If so, what do I do next? Is there much of a difference in ride comfort between the mk 2 and mk 4?
Otherwise, I don't know what to look at. Nothing else seems to compare for interior space and flexibility.
I'd really like an EV if I do change, but it seems to be really difficult to find one that fits the bill. If there was a Jazz EV with magic seats I'd jump on it.

Changing car is never profitable. If your Jazz fulfills your needs and doesn't have major faults, I'd suggest keeping it as long as it runs and can pass the annual inspection (aka MOT). I'd assume that'd be next 10-15 years.
