I replaced my tyres 3 years ago with bridgestone and recently it feels like driving on concrete tyres, plenty of tread but cracking between the treads, is this normal? Michelins are £112 so I'm thinking of going for kumho which are half that price. I don't do a lot of miles and it seems pointless to go for premium tyres which fail after 3 years of light use

I have Khumo tyres on our Jazz, and I find them to be superb and much better than Michelin ES. We've also had Toyo Proxes Comfort up front, and they were really good from a grip perspective, but the wear rate was rather high. I refuse to stump up the cash for premium tyres, they are simply not worth the extra for the average driver in an average car imho, but you pays your money etc etc.

Wich Bridgestones? I'm running on the Turanza's for +2 years and they still looks perfect and rides smooth. Sure you not have some cheap fakes? Never ever had any probs with Bridgestone, even aging ones on me other vehicles. Would never ever consider cheap China tyres since I like have the margin and at one occasion I tested cheap ones once on one axle and premiums on the other and the difference was shocking, especially in wet. If I buy new rims etc and see such cheap shite on them, they goes directly to the bin no matter thread depth.

I had Khumo tyres on the rear of my Jazz. They were put on back in 2015 at around 68k and were still good last year at 140k, save for some signs of cracking in the sidewall on the nearside rear.

The new owner still had the tyres on the at last MOT in January at 154k; it failed on 'Nearside Rear Tyre has a tear, caused by separation or partial failure of its structure', though the tread was still legal on both tyres.

Although Kwik Fit  would not often be my first choice they sometimes have very good deals on Michelin Cross climates in particular.    Although I usually buy from on-line tyre suppliers - more choice and usually cheaper - its still worth checking the major tyre fitting groups such as National tyres, who might occasionally have the same tyre on special offer, or might be willing to price match/beat a legitimate quote.   

I have never actually done this, and its a bit sneaky , but the local tyre fitters I occasionally use  ,who are a fitting agent for at least one on line-tyre supplier , ' tipped  the wink' that they could supply and fit the same tyres cheaper if I went to them direct.
