Non folding mirrors have been mentioned before. I bought a 23 plate Crosstar from a honda main dealer in March
After a week, I found the nearside door mirror wouldn't close on locking. I phoned their service department and to save me making a 15 mile return journey, could I send them an email video which I did.
I got a call back the following day to say they'd ordered me a a new mirror which they could replace under warranty and they could do it, "while I waited." The following day, the mirror was working again! I heard nothing until the end of last week, when I got a call to say the mirror had arrived and they could fit it tomorrow. I told them it was working fine and didn't need replacing.
Today after shopping when I got home I found the driver's door mirror wasn't closing!
It would close and open fine with the button next to the mirror positioning buttons. But not when I locked the car.
So I went into "settings" and reset door/mirror controls an that cured the problem.
Now I know there's been problems with the mechanics of mirrors, but what I couldn't understand was why it wasn't suggested I do a reset with the other mirror?
Is it that at some garages there's a problem that engineers are falling behind with their knowledge of IT?
