Ha yes and glass milk bottles …recycled for years …. Luckliy now the supermarkets will deliver in vans your milk in nice plastic tubs  we wash and put out in our recycle wheelie bin. And yes some of those vans are now electric …….  Hmm

Ah, yes I still have milk delivered 3 times a week, in glass bottles and yes it is an electric milk float, think it’s based on a ford transit or similar. ;D ;D

...which the car switches off when it reaches a certain speed above which pedestrians presumably dont have time to jump out of the way.  Maybe some people are more sensitive to that sound frequency.
No. There's a surprising number of people with some degree of sight impairment, who rely on their hearing to give warning of a vehicle nearby. The EV noise will switch off at about the level equivalent to an ICE car. Pity the same rules don't apply to e-bikes and e-scooters.
