Headlamp failures

What I`ve heard is the high wattage bulb (over the 60/55W) produces more heat which is damaging the mirror in the headlight and as Culzean said it is illegal.

Currently I`m using Osram Night Breaker Plus 60/55W for a month now (cheapest on ebay, ~£14 a pair). The brightness is just superb.

That's a good price for the Osram Nightbreakers. I've' been using them for a year now and they're excellent. I've used Halfords bulbs before but the bulb glass blackened within 6 months and they were worse than the originals. Consequently I've stayed away from them.

On the above recommendations I ordered a set Of the Osram Niightbreakers at 1900 Sunday and got email 1 hour later that they have been despatched !?
