In my last post on this topic I said I would report back as to whether the ding-a-ling had returned since updating the Garmin navigation. Well, it has been three weeks and not a ding-a-ling has been heard.
My conclusion is that it appears to be related to Garmin wanting an update because since the update there has been no recurrence. Of course I can’t categorically say it is Garmin update related but in the absence of any other solid evidence I am going with it.
Unless it comes back or I find some other explanation I am case closed on this one.
