Is it a towing eye or what they use to secure to a transporter ?

Page 346 of the Owners Guide, gives a picture, and describes it as a

Detachable Towing Hook.

Or,as I  suggested,   slowly and carefully for a similar distance if your tyres have lost traction in mud or snow. Or if broken down in an exceptionally  dangerous position and there is a  safe location a few metres away.

I have often seen cars broken down in the live lane  of a fast road, where the driver has made no effort to  roll their last few metres  onto a much safer location nearby.  Once , on a steep hill, the car could easily have been rolled  downhill into a layby only 5 metres away.  I know  the car rolled  because I stopped and  'pointed out  the error of his ways  (The idiot was still sitting in the car awaiting breakdown assistance -or a fatal rear end shunt by an HGV.  ) >:(

:o Had he at least bothered to press the hazard warning button?

He did at least have hazard lights on.

In the uk they are often used as  'I know I should not park here but I wont be long' lights.  :P .   Maybe less often now  so many people get  takeaway food and groceries delivered  by deliveroo etc.  ::)

No warning triangle of course. Very rarely used in the uk.
