I agree getting the sticker off as soon as possible after it is applied is the best way, removing dealer rear window stickers is one of the first thins I do when I get a new car.

I find Surgical Spirit on tissue good for removing glue residue from glass or most plastic surfaces. Try on a hidden area of plastic surfaces first though.

I've always found meths to be the best with stickers on glass

Every time my old Hillman Hunter went in for service they put a rear inside window sticker on, even though I told them not to
Let's be careful out there !

I recently removed  a large label from a glass table top  using my recommended solvent - WD40.  It worked a treat.    It was a new garden furniture set.   We got one fine day to enjoy it then  wet weather ever since. And you got it too, courtesy of Voltermore the weather Jinx.
