2nd gen IMA cooling fan

Hello, I have seen the older post concerning changing components on the fan driver board. My unit seems remarkably dust free but I can not see or hear it spin up. Question: is it possible to check it by applying 12v (or other) to some of the four connecting pins ? If so then what voltage to which pin please ?
