Driver Information Interface
« on: September 02, 2022, 02:26:54 PM »
On the Driver Information Interface there is one item marked 12 Navigation in the owners manual, but this does not give any more info as to what it does?

Many thanks for reading

I'm picking up the Jazz tomorrow but it looks the same as on the E, you might have a compass, and if you program the satnav it gives turn by turn arrows in the driver display so you don't need to look at the satnav screen.

Page 140 of the on line manual refers you to page 148  for details  .  (ie a choice of a compass or turn by turn directions.  )You may also need to consult the separate navigation manual for further clever tricks.

I suspect its one of those functions that makes more sense  when you are sitting in the car playing with it than it does if you are trying to learn in advance from the manual.

Sorry, If I have used this function before I have  already forgotten how.  :-[      ;D   I find that when I'm following a satnav route the turn by turn directions appear on the driver interface anyway  when a turn is approaching. It overides some details on the screen ,such as fuel consumption, for a short time then goes off. .  Its possible that setting it specially for a minimised navigation display improves the function, but I have never felt the need .

Just for info - Android Auto also displays navigation info in the driver display.
Let's be careful out there !

Hi folks,
Has anyone had trouble getting out of the Driver Information Interface? Here's what I found.
If you find that a symbol has appeared, such as the fuel pump (and all the usual information you want to see like how much fuel you have left and MPG etc. has been blanked out) simply press the thumbwheel when the fuel symbol is showing and all your info will reappear. You must be stopped, in Park (P) with the power switched on, preferably with the brake on.
I know this seems simple but old fogies like me need to know this stuff and the Owner's Guide doesn't tell you, or at least I couldn't find it. (PS I'm on my 4th Jazz and the E: HEV is the best yet).

It's  in there among the 600 pages or so.   Too much information sometimes.  I still have to find some things by trial and error.
