System Updates
« on: May 31, 2025, 10:57:56 AM »
I've a 23plate jazz Crosstar which I bought a couple of months ago.

More out of curiosity, this morning I tried to do a software update. We've a Virgin Media internet and TV system and I've a laptop  with a wifi connection.

The car's computer found several possible connections, including the number of my Virgin wifi network. But it said it couldn't connect. I guess I can't get the car close enough to our hub in a corner of our lounge at the back of the house.
So I followed the instructions to use a USB. There was one in the car already.  I had that I put in with a few thousand mp3s so it used that.
I put it in my laptop and it made the connection to Honda and after a minute it told me the car  was up-to-date.

This might seem like a daft question, but should I leave the file on the USB when I put it back on the car, or save the file on my laptop?

If the update is in place I would suggest saving the file to your laptop (probably won't be of any use) and delete from your USB

Thanks for that, I thought that too, but wasn't sure.
