Parking sensors - front - snow
« on: January 07, 2022, 01:01:30 PM »
First time ever in any car had the full array of front sensors go the red just as turning into driveway and entering the garage.

Snow was falling and front of car had a light covering all over so it was not concerning as to what had caused the unprovoked alarm.

Anyone else had this experience?

I’ve also had it from a speed bump going uphill.

Not a particularly large bump, but the angle of the hill and bump must have confused the sensors into thinking I was about to drive into a wall!

Snow: yes.
Full array of front sensors go red: no.
If nothing goes right, go left!

I have experienced this when joining a road slightly higher than the car park.

Indeed the driveway also has a slight rise to it.

My daughters drive is at a reasonable upward angle from the flat garage but I've not had any false alarms driving out forwards.
Let's be careful out there !
