Eml on code p0638 showing
« on: March 12, 2019, 01:52:22 PM »
Hi guys.
Jazz 2007 1.4 dsi Eml lights keeps coming on and going off. A friend plugged it into diagnostics scanner for me and come up with above code. Any ideas what this could be?

Has happened to someone here before https://clubjazz.org/forum/index.php?topic=4937.0 it's to do with the throttle body. An internet search suggests it could just need cleaning - given your problem is intermittent - though someone had a broken wire.

Or is it? What do you think?

There is a wire in the loom ( which is a bit short and gets stressed at certain points ) - a yellow / green colour.. you need to take some tape off the loom to find it,  may just be broken internally ( just the copper ) and not show as broken pvc sleeve of cable.
Some people will only consider you an expert if they agree with your point of view or advice,  when you give them advice they don't like they consider you an idiot
