Hi to all and hope enjoying mini heatwave!
As most know, as new to forum having bought 1st honda in motoring life :-) This post relates to information displayed on screen and revolves in following sequence:
Mile Per Gallon real time (shown as digital meter going from 0/25/50/75/100)
Average Miles Per Gallon
Miles left in tank
Minutes driven
Average Miles Per Hour
Seatbelt
Blank (save for next line)
At all times on bottom of screen is outside temperature (bottom left) and current mileage (bottom right).
Can I ask if the above series of screens accords with other owners and if the 'blank' screen (save for temp and mileage) is correct, or am I missing screens/information?
Many thanks, and so far, since purchase, all well and even the rear seat knocking and front window rattle seem to have self corrected themselves-whether this is due to warmer weather, I couldn't yet say!
-
Yep that's what mine does :)
-
Yes, that's as it is on ours.
-
ditto :D

TY all for your responses and it looks like it does what it should :-)
(Garyman, have left added message in other post for you detailing 1st week+ of owning car & behaviour! What I wanted to add, but will do here, is that the passenger side window rattle and rear seat knocking agant D bracket, seem to have resolved themselves :-))
Many thanks.

Hi again, whilst updating on other post, there was 1 that sprang to mind, but moreso under this heading!
Know hhave spoken about different screens previously under this post-but thought came to mind. Afer filling before last weekend trip, I reset the tripmeter to '000' by pressing the 'stalk/stem' next to this readout.
I also found out that by turning this stalk/stem left or right, this increases or decreases the brightness of the dash panel (or that is what it seemed to do).
However, I appear to have 'lost' my total mileage readout (which should be around 27k miles)! So, query is, how do I retrieve this figure and is there anything else I ought to/need/might like to know, concerning this part of the car as it is this I am going to be concentrating on, as well as road ahead, obviously, or any hints or tips on this aspect of the car, I may find useful?
many thanks as ever for reading and all responses appreciated.

Hi
Right hand side of steering wheel, inboard of the two buttons allows the total millages trip etc to be displayed, time to next service if active etc. well it does on my 1.2s + AC

Hi JohnAlways, TY so much for that...totally forgotten about that 'select' button! Indeed, does as you say, Mileage A and B and total mileage 3rd selection.
Now, can you assist as little more! Total mileage shown as 26,700 miles, next is Mileage at 'A' - currently 211 miles (since last refill), both of which are understood, but 3rd option Mileage 'B' is 511 miles-this is the 1 that still has me head scratching as to what this refers. Can you assist?
Many thanks for reply so far :-)

In my case the miles to next service is not enabled, so the A and B trips are both simply the mileage since the last reset.
So in your case you must have reset the B trip 511 miles ago and maybe not realised it.
Regards Kenneve.

Hi Kenneve, TY for your reply. Unsure if 2010 si model gives mileage until next 'service'. However, I found the following in 1 of the online manuals (since it is becoming difficult to source manual for Mk2/2010 model-beleive even Haynes only do manual for Mk1, as informed by Halfords!).
'You can use this function to display the distance and average fuel mileage for a segment of a trip.
The segment distance and fuel mileage will be automatically reset when resetting the trip meter.
To display the segment distance and fuel mileage, press and release the Select/Reset knob. The Segment
Display will come on to remind you that this is the segment distance and fuel mileage display.'
So, above 2 para's seem to suggest that the 'A' and 'B' mileage is for the 'mileage within a mileage' reading! Or, that is how it reads!
I can see point of obviously knowing full mileage from new and also trip since last refill-which all cars now have. I have never come across car that has had this function before and trying to think of why this maybe useful?!
Any offers on postcards, please!

Trip A and B are independent individually resettable trip meters. If you reset them both to zero and drive 100 miles they will both show 100 miles and the fuel consumption for that journey. If you now reset one of them, say for your return journey, when you travel another 100 miles back, one will display statistics for the return trip, the other one for your total trip, can be useful if you want to know fuel consumption for parts of a journey. You could for instance, reset trip a every fill up, and trip b every month so you can monitor mpg over a period.
I found it quite useful on my Jazz, hope you do too.

Hi bill, Very grateful for your easier explanation as oppose to one from online manual! Now know exactly why this will be useful and certainly will use this function in conjunction with mpg.
Maybe Honda could think about employing you to write their next, or rewrite honda manuals or at least translate current manuals-reason for my post is 'cos it's Friday!
Great stuff and have great weekend.
