Hi, please could anyone help with a sat nav problem. I have fitted a genuine Honda ad sat nav unit to my 2013 Jazz SI everything seams to work fine except the level of sound from the speakers. I have been into the setting menu and checked with the installation guide and all seams to be correct, but I still have very low speaker volume even with the volume at maximum. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Was the Satnav a used unit from another vehicle?

Yes from the same year jazz

I was told by a breaker the other day that some of the sat navs have an other small unit separate to the main unit that acts as an amplifier. Without this the output is too low from the unit to drive the other speakers.
Was it plug and play? Did you get the plugs with the unit?

According to the downloaded installation guide there was only one more plug called a navi harness with two wires orange and green which on the SI model are already taped to the wiring loom. I brought a amp booster cable which was from Honda so the aerial lead plugs into and a gps antenna again which plugs into the back of the unit. All the plugs are there as the instructions. I can get full sat nav usage, Bluetooth connection I.E phones to pair and call ect radio stations,iPod connections and cd it's just the sound volume issue.

Do you have the model number?

I have taken a picture of the unit, hopefully it will appear. It's a Clarion unit but I am not sure of the model number.

Just had the sat nav unit checked and repaired. Faulty unit. Should have brought new.

What was wrong with it?
