hi guys i have just bought a honda jazz 1.4 se sport cvt 7 speed  35,000 miles. can any one tell me what color the gearbox oil should be. i have check it looks like clear golden . just want to know if thats the wright oil many thanks dave

just want to know if the color is red or golden transmission fluid for the cvt gearbox dve

I believe it's only a hint of golden-red you want, not Vimto.
Sounds new so should be in the service log, and possibly checked with a phone call.

Hi the gearbox dip stick is the one on the right, the one on the left should be a golden colour because it's engine oil :P

The old fluid in the box looked more like Lamb's Navy Rum. Fresh CVT-F is Tizer red, not Golden Syrup golden.

I can only speak from experience of Honda's CVT-F and not any other manufacture's fluid.
