Hi
just wondered if any of you have fitted 'mud flaps/ guards to your Jazz.
Any help / tips most welcome.
We went to our local Honda dealership yesterday, but I just thought it may be easy enough to do ourselves.

Fitting is diy the Honda guides are on the USA site -

take your time lining up the item against the wing edge.
You will find a full or just fr and rr on ebay at a better £ than your dealer.......

Got them from China too, the price Honda asks is outrageous. They look the same and fit
perfect!
-
After 5 weeks driving with the Chinese cheap mud flaps one of the rear flaps is half loose and at the other rear one is a gap (close to 1 centimeter) between the bumper and the flap. >:( They go off all four tomorrow and I am going to order genuine!
-
I guess its hit and miss with the non genuine ones.
It all boils down to how much I'm prepared to spent.
-
I am removing my recommendation for Aliexpress. Some sellers are very honest, others ...
This is a message I had from one seller after I returned a item that did not comply to the description

Oh Mr O, what a terrible way to treat customers.
I'm sure I won't be using them .
Hope you get a refund or reply.
-
Thanks Sylvia, its been a frustrating few weeks, and TBH with his current attitude I am not expecting a refund.
-
Then i had a honest seller. I bought mine from a Chinese seller on ebay and after my message they didn't fit right i got my refund almost the same day with a message i could keep/throw away the mud flaps because sending back would cost more than the flaps themselves.
I have bought the genuine mud flaps and paid € 66 to the Honda dealer. I thought they were more expensive because i only checked at an online uk dealer.
-
Look on that internet auction site, as someone might be selling a genuine set there?
-
Even on eBay you have to be wary
The Chinese are good for refunds but the English aren't
I had mudflaps where this strip of metal at the bottom rusted and was told it was aluminium.......
Don't think so......
Wouldn't refund me though even though it didn't fit the description and it was too late to go through eBay or PayPal as it took a few months to rust

Traders like that are disgraceful, they just don't care.

That's not a bad price ;), but if its not in the UK I'd probably have to pay more shipping costs. :(

I had them ordered at the local Honda dealer and picked them up. I can do that for you, but a quick look at postage cost to the UK learned you have to add about €20 for that.
Edit: i have these product numbers: http://www.coxmotorparts.co.uk/genuine-honda-jazz-mudflaps-0911-p-379.html (http://www.coxmotorparts.co.uk/genuine-honda-jazz-mudflaps-0911-p-379.html) Do your math. ;)

Hi I bought genuine mud flaps on eBay, from 2 sellers, 1 set of front (new ones) and from another seller the back ones, this set was from a scrap yard, (near my home) and they allowed me to take them off the dearly departed Jazz!.
The only tools needed was a star type driver to undo the screws,
I'm a OAP and I cheated buy having a couple of old pillows for my knees (front ones) and my head for the back ones.

Thanks Marlene,
I have a Honda dealer close by so I will have a word with them and try to get a good deal.

That was lucky.
Another option to consider, there's a couple of scrappies around here.

I always thought that the price for the same product would be the same at every dealer. The price in Germany was €33 per set (front or rear) and here in Holland also. Tell that your dealer! ;)

I have looked for those here also, without luck.
With a good clean and detailer dressing when they are dry, they will look as new!
