Title: light on the dash!

If it is on when you are driving there is something wrong with your ESP system = contact your garage.

I am not sure if this light is on if you have pushed the ESP OFF button, but you can check that your self.

In my LHD Jazz it is located between drivers door & steering wheel, just in front of my left knee, so i would
asume that in a RHD Jazz it is just in front of drivers right knee.

This light comes on initially, but goes off when the the car is running

ESP was only fitted on the new model from 2008

btw that icon look like a steering wheel anyway. I was thinking the power steering fluid is not enough or something.

Should come on when you switch on the ignition and go out shortly after, unless theres a problem.

As its electric theres no fluid to worry about.

If the light comes on in normal running, run away... Test it in parking and reversing into tight spots.

ESP lights on means theres a fault on your electric poewr steering, you either feel the steering is very rough to very stiff.
Based on experince esp on jazz and on civics are all powered by esp module (like a computer chip) there is no power steering pump on jazz and new civics pre 2001 models.
if the fault can be seen on dash board more or less you need to replace the esp module, this can be expensive but can be sourced cheap on breakyards would range not more than £80 quid plus intallation.....

I went to see that car, the light went off after a while in driving and also there is other light on driving and i think this is for coolant so I run away.

this is the 2nd jazz I saw in 1 weeks. they both had repairs. I dont want to spend 3-4k on a repaired car.

I am guessing honesty in ppl are getting worse and worse on cars nowadays. lol

I am still hunting btw.

Still a little concern on few things but it will be more clear when I view it tonight or tomorrow after work. ;D

tbh I think the price is really attractive but just hope it is a nice one with a little high milage (94000 miles)

I agree. Even if the engine is sound, suspension and other components will be well worn. Independent inspection.
