Hi
I hear a knocking noise when I turn my steering wheel to the left or right when I am driving very slowly :(
Did somebody have the same problem..
Thank you in advance!!!!!!
-
Don't have same problem but it could be a stuffed CV joint. What miles do you have?
-
it could be drive shaft knuckles only dose it on full lock then you hear a crack good luck hope its not that
-
170000 miles..
it can be repaired or i should replace??
any idea, how much is it going to cost me to have it replaced?
Thanks
-
170000 miles - that's amazing!
Bound to be making a few strange noises at that mileage.

170,000 largely troublefree miles is no big deal with sympathetic driving and servicing to schedule. But at that mileage it's entirely possible your CV joint rubber gaiter is perished through and broken.
One possible source for a part http://www.onlineautomotive.co.uk/Honda_Jazz_CV%20Joint%20Kits.aspx
Genuine parts? Possibly. They claim a 1 year warranty.
Don't know labour time/cost - though it's not a big job.
This 2-minute video explains... other youtube videos might be even better.
If the rubber gaiter/boot is broken, a simple, easy, quick inspection will reveal it. Dirty grease around the rubber... the CV joint has lost its lube, heats up and wears out as the video explains.
A quick google 'noisy cv joint' will find forums and other useful youtube videos.
Even better, a garage workshop should be able to identify in minutes while you wait.

If you visit a specialist CV repair shop as opposed to a regular workshop, they will diagnose it in a flash. If the rubber boot gets damaged, either from wear and tear, or gets cut for some reason and the lubricant runs out, the noise you described follows quickly. Judging from your comments and replies, I am 99% sure this is your problem. CV joints cost around £30 and it is about 45 mins labour to remove and refit it.
