Title: Boot Pocket and Fire Extinguisher mount
Post by: guest410 on December 01, 2007, 12:00:00 PM
Can anyone tell me if there is a specific Honda item or purpose (other than dumping odds n sods) for the pocket moulded on the offside’s inner wall of the boot.

Also has anyone suitably mounted a fire extinguisher in their Jazz -it’s just that the Bmw we have is designed with specific mounting bolts in a secure area of the cabin.

On my Jazz/Fit it has a Honda branded fire ext fitted in the passenager footwell. Tiny little thing that I would think could manage a match or two. Hopefully will never find out

Cheers neils-home.

Is it bolted/secured to the centre or the outer side of the foot well?

I’m in 2 minds whether I want to replace the bottle of volvic spring water in the door pocket, with 1 of 3 spare auto fire extinguishers left in my garage

Its held on the outside wall with a little moulded plastic clip that looks like it is the exact colour match for the interior. Clever people these Japs, they seem to have everything just right for this car. Its just unfortunate that little ever comes into this country and you always have to search around for it.
