i saw a step by step cowl removal for a GE a while back and now i cant find it, can anyone point me in the right direction, thanks

You mean coil?
You have to look for the blue wires of the coilpacks (one for every spark plug).
Remove the electrical clip.
Unscrew the bolts that keep the coil packs still.
Extract the coil and eventually remove the spark plug from the engine.

the coil packs / spark plugs are situated behind (opposite exhaust pipes)

I believe they call it "cowl" in Amercia.
IIRC, you can just gently praise it out with a small screwdriver
