Title: fitting rear speakers in s model
Post by: guest2736 on September 10, 2011, 07:54:16 PM
hi all

this is my first post so please go easy on me.

i have just fitted a pair of aftermarket speakers (quoted £93 + vat+labour at local dealer) and the sound is stunning.

it was very easy  to do as the wires are already there (just taped to the pad covering the speaker hole).

i must say the hardest part of all was getting the window crank handle off but eventually managed to remove the circlip and then the door card came off easily.

what i'm trying to say is this- if i can do it then anyone can

approx time in total 1hour (most of time was battling with a circlip!!!!)

Well done the addition of Rear speakers does make a difference.

Removing the door card can be tricky, for removal check this website link below:

see item 1 you need a piece of wire to hook around the clip.
