Thanks in advance for any answers on this, I have a 73 reg advance sport 13,000 miles I only have
two weeks warranty left brought new, now the question if your sat in the drivers seat its the left hand
front parking censer that has started to beep and flash when raining or spray from car in front, I don't
fancy having the front bumper removed so any answers advice or any body else had this the reply
will be much appreciated.

The parking sensors are indeed quite sensitive in bad weather!
I had them running havoc with the screens driving in snowfall so badly, I had to turn them off.
In case you are wondering how to do this: You have to fiddle with the "driver information interface" (the one you can reach via the home button and thumb wheel on the steering wheel) scroll to "Safety Support" and select the parking sensor system icon.
You can find this information in the MY24 online manual on pages 143/144 and 158 as well.

I did have something similar to this a while ago but it sorted itself out in the end, could have been rectified by cleaning the car, or if it was damp getting into the electronics it must have dried out. I'd forgotten about it until I saw your post.
