Title: Windscreen side trim
Post by: Hicardo on June 03, 2026, 09:18:59 PM
Just checked the side trim on both sides of my windscreen and found the drivers side one felt somewhat loose.  I pulled it towards the ground to see if i could "re-clip" it as it were.  But it still feels a bit looser than the passenger side.  Anyone else found this issue?  ???

I don't think it is 'clipped' on. I had my windscreen replaced under warranty in year 2 of ownership, as it had started delaminating. It was carried out through my dealer using a local windscreen repair company. When I picked it up, they had only just fitted 'new' window side trims as they had to break the others to remove the damaged screen. I was told not to wash the car for a week, to allow the glue to dry.. and this was the trim, not the actual screen/seal they were talking about.
Incidentally, I have the EX model which has side door protectors. One day during cleaning I noticed the passenger side trim protector was loose at the front edge. So much so that I could lever it from the door by about half an inch at its front point. I cleaned the area, and stuck in the recess one of those double sided license plate sticker pads. That has done the trick.
