Title: I fitted daytime driving lights to my 2004 Jazz
Post by: iSolder on April 04, 2026, 03:28:57 PM
I fitted daytime driving lights. It was quite a challenge and I've uploaded details in case anyone wants to try it.

NOTE: I'm retired; I'm not in business. I'm not advertising or on commission. I'm providing this information for educational purposes only.

Great guide.

I wouldnt bother upgrading the  side lights to LED's. As you say you wouldnt need sidelights on anyway if you have DRL's. Except maybe to comply with local laws  or  technical testing/mot.
Maybe a pedantic  person (police or  technical tester) might insist the DRL's s are not bright enough, or correctly positioned to qualify as DRL's. If, as is the case in Bulgaria, its compulsory in Greece  to drive  with headights on  if you have no DRL's, upgraded sidelights still wouldnt help.

What prompted me to fit daytime driving lights was the installation of a Pioneer radio head unit. This dims the screen when the sidelights (+ panel lights) are on. Previously, I had always driven with sidelights on but I didn't want to dim the screen in daylight.
