Title: Servicing at Honda vs independent

Just asking for advice.

I have an 08 1.4 sport and servicing is coming up.  I have rang an independent garage and a honda garage.  The price difference is about £100.  So I just want to know is it really worth that extra £100 just for a Honda stamp on the service book or is it basically the same thing but due to badge snobbery I would have to pay more?

With that extra £100 I could pay for the road tax which is also coming up.....

The question is how well do you trust the independent. If you know them and have been satisfied with their workmanship AND they use Honda parts save yourself £100. Provided they do a good job and get the service book stamped the warranty is still valid, many people are "switching" like this to save a decreasing commodity called money.
     The difference is the respective labour charge!
