hi all,help and advice wanted
as the title say,A 15 plate 1.3i with a CVT
when I reverse,I have just started getting a wirring noise, slow is very quiet< if I need to reverse uphill it gets noisier,
in forward it works a treat,D and S,61k miles
has a yellow coded dipstick, oil level ok,oil very clean, very very pale,
I admit I forgot about the oil change, its about 8K miles over the 25K
I live in the west midlands, anyone knows a repair place that knows about the CVT box,not just a swift swop,
thanks

Ok,things seem better,
I saw a video on YT,they inferred it was because I was to gentle
So engage handbrake, then reverse against the load, yes it improved no end,
So I am going to change the fluid, hopefully even better,
BUT, got intouch with COXs,
Surprised, they never heard of yellow CVT oil
Can anyone help??
Link?
Source?

Check the car owner's manual.
Honda CVTF fluid is red/purple colour fresh out of the can.
Honda HCF-2 fluid for later CVT cars is clear/yelllow according to google.
Have you perhaps posted in wrong section? Have you got a 2015-2020 Mk3 Jazz?
Cox Motors should be able to confirm which CVT fluid if you gave them your car reg number.

After discussing it with Cox,they came to the conclusion, as did I that the previous dealer had put in the later yellow HFC2 oil,
Hopefully it will flush out, and no harm done,

Ok,now with red oil, the box seems better, more responsive,
But the noise when reversing is worse if anything
It only occurs when moving, and changes tone depending on if I am accelerating, and different if I lift my foot and use engine braking,
Ideas??
Specialist I can consult??

Ok,problem solved,
No issues with the gearbox,
I type this with a very embarrassed red face,
It was the rear disc pads, the warning noise to indicate the pads were needing replacing,
Feel like an idiot,
But, during that time, it passed it's MOT,with just an advisory on the rear pads, I had already changed the front ones
BTW,I got them from Eurocar parts,
Eichman brand, under£50 for all 4 wheels,
The car is silent again

I had that once, terrible squeeling noise. Typically it happened in the winter!
