Hey all,
I've been looking for a "new" car after I had a great time with the CT200h and just stopped at the fancy-weirdly looking ( which could use some mods ;) ) mk4 Jazz! I've also owned a 04 plate Jazz which was simply lovely with no issues at all for the 3 years I've owned it prior to the CT.
There's one thing I couldn't find is the TPMS in the 20,21 brochure. Is it standard on all Jazz(es) regarding of spec?

Yes its standard on all trim levels . A TPMS has been a legal requirement on all new cars since 2014.
The Mk 4 uses an indirect system . I've cut and pasted this explanation -
"Indirect Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (iTPMS) don't use individual sensors in the wheels to measure tire pressure. Instead, they use the vehicle's existing wheel speed sensors (typically part of the anti-lock braking system) to indirectly estimate tire pressure by analyzing the differences in wheel rotation speed. When a tire loses pressure, it rotates faster than a properly inflated tire, and the system detects this change in speed."

Interesting... so I don't have to worry about the (potential) costly TPMS repairs, isn't it?

Yes. There is no need to replace costly wheel sensors if faulty or their batteries go flat. Or buy sensors for any replacement wheels .(I have a second set of wheels with winter tyres)
Very occasionally you get a false activation . New tyres may take 100 miles to become flexible enough to give consistent rotation speeds. But its not difficult to reset the system which then 'relearns' how the wheels are rotating.
