Title: Need radio serial number to get code 2012 Honda Jazz 1.4 ES

Hello, need some help,

I have tried 3 or 4 different ways gleaned from the web without success

I have tried pushing buttons 1 and 6, then ignition on

Ignition on press 1 and 6 then radio on

As above but push radio on button twice

Another one, I can’t remember

Help please

With the ignition ON, but the audio OFF, press and hold the 1 and 6 buttons then press the audio power button. The serial number is displayed with S/N with 8 digits.

This is presuming you have the standard audio. If you have the accessory Navigation unit (Clarion) then the code is user set and the audio unit will need to go back to Clarion to be decoded.

Tried the above several times, and all I get is DIAG and the radio coming on. I’m totally flummoxed!

This can only be done when the audio unit is requesting the code. If your radio comes on I presume it is working normally?

Yes, the radio works perfectly, just wanted a code in case of having to disconnect battery.
Car came with no handbook or radio code etc.
So the serial number is only available if the radio has had it’s power interrupted??
