Title: ‘Exact’ Postcode Entry For Sat Nav?
Post by: ninanina on November 24, 2024, 05:49:04 PM
I’ve driven a few Jazz hybrids now

One thing I noticed is that when you enter a postcode into the sat nav search tools/find address section it seems to need it in upper case with the appropriate spaces too

Has anyone else noticed this?

Not noticed, but I have not searched by postcode for a while.

But  when I was in England it found postcodes and addresses  in England no problem , however far away  , but could not find Scottish postcodes unless I was actually in Scotland, or changed the search area to somewhere in Scotland. And could not find  Scottish addresses unless I included "Sco" or Scotland in the address field. (except for a few major cities such as Glasgow )    IIRC whilst in Scotland it found English post codes and addresses without problem or needing to specify country. .   But the car was new at the time  and I may have been using it wrong.  :-[

Just wondered if anyone can confirm that if entering postcode into either….

Navigation>magnifying glass>Search Field
or
Navigation>Search Tools>Search Field

The only way I got the system to search properly was by entering the postcode exactly using upper case and spaces where appropriate

That may be just the way it works in the Jazz, but it’s slightly different than my Prius

It’s not a big deal if that’s how it is

Yes I have read the manual but it doesn’t even mention postcode

However I know you can search on postcode
