Hello everyone, I just purchased a used Hybrid Jazz Se 2021. I would like to upgrade the head unit to a better one with sat nav and android. Apologies if it has been addressed this issue before but I couldn't find anything in the forum. See attached a picture of the current one. Any help of which one would work and info on how to install would be very much appreciated.

I wouldn't think a switch to the SatNav version would be straightforward
I doubt your model has a GPS unit for example so that would need to be sorted along with extra wiring

Thank you!

It may sound brutal, but you have options:
- suck it up and live with your decision
- sell the car and buy one that checks all of your boxes in the first place
- go the really expensive way and invest in aftermarket "enhancements"
-
"Suck it up and live with your decision." Wow

"Suck it up and live with your decision." Wow
As I said: brutal - but honest!
(if you buy the "right" car piecewise at spare part prices you are bound to pay an enormous premium vs buying the "right" car in the first place)

I am tremendously happy with the car I bought. I simply thought it would be easier and cheaper than it obviously is according to your answers. If I had the right economic circumstances I would definitely have bought the one with all the gadgets, extras etc. Sadly I couldn't. Sorry for asking guys!

I am truly sorry, that your plan of an easy upgrade doesn't work out!
(modern cars are electronic "divas" and cannot as easily be modified any longer as we would like them to be)
Please don't let my "flippant" reply discourage you from using this forum!
I appologise if I have offended you! - That wasn't my intent!
(I was carried away by the economic aspect of your endeavor!)

Fran, something like this may fit https://gazer.com/en/car-electronics/t6-car-multimedia/line/t6010-gr-h-pro-for-honda-jazz-4-2020-2021/ there are a few different makes if you do a google search also if there is a car audio specialist near you they may be able to advise, this is one near me https://www.basesystems.com/vehicle-electronics/category/car-audio/head-units/

I guess what we are trying to say is upgrading a Mk4 would be fraught with potential compatibility problems.
It may be possible but would probably take quite a lot of expert knowledge to overcome all snags. Even a professional audio installer may lack the knowledge to integrate it into all of Hondas computer systems, and I doubt a Honda dealer would have the necessary experience either - or would charge an arm and a leg
Once an expert has succeeded others can copy. I think you will be lucky to find someone who has done it yet on a mk4 in Europe. I wouldnt be brave enough to be the first ;D
You may have more luck with information from the Japanese market . In Japan the Jazz/Fit is popular with young drivers and sometimes sold with basic radio, with the expectation the buyers will upgrade it. But there may still be major specification differences to overcome.
Maybe a higher spec head unit and the necessary other bits removed from a scrapped car might be viable.
-
Your best bet is to keep the car for a year or two then trade up to a higher spec model if that's what you still want. The Satnav issue is easily solved by setting one up on your smartphone, either using Google maps or any other number of satnav apps.

Hi Fran. I know that many Russians import their JDM Hondas (including our 4th gen Fit) from Japan. These have awful head units and almost all of them are swapped.
Here’s an example I quickly found online:

Google translate will help.
My point is it’s definitely possible if you have time & money to do it yourself or just money to pay somebody else to do it.

I sincerely hope not but it looks like Fran has thrown the towel in :(
