Hi, as winter is coming, I have to buy new wheels and winter tyres for Crosstar. Do you recommend steel or alu wheels? Any pros and cons. in favor of alu wheels regarding motor performance and drive stability?
I have found following spec for 16'' wheels:
PCD: 4x100
DIA: 56. mm
6.0x16 ET50 (or ET 45)
Are these values correct when looking for new non-original Honda wheels?

My Crosstar's original wheels have these specs:
PCD: 4x100
Center bore diameter: 56.1 mm
Wheel size: 6.0x16 inch
ET: 45 mm
Lug nut seat type: R12 ball shape (This one is only important if you want to use the same lug nuts that came with your Crosstar.)
Although not officially approved by Honda, I bought 15 inch winter wheels for my Crosstar. That way I could fit winter tyres with a taller sidewall, such as 185/65R15, or 195/65R15. Specs of my winter wheels:
PCD: 4x100
Center bore diameter: 56.1 mm
Wheel size: 5.5x15 inch
ET: 45 mm
Lug nut seat type: R12 ball shape
Brand: Etabeta
Model: Eros

I also tried a 6.0x15 inch wheel on my Crosstar with these specs and it worked fine:
PCD: 4x100
Center bore diameter: 56.1 mm
Wheel size: 6.0x15 inch
ET: 50 mm
Lug nut seat type: R12 ball shape

Of course an aftermarket 6.0x16 size wheel should also fit, if you wish not to change the wheel size from the original, as long as its other specs match. But nordic winter tyres are not as easy to find in size 185/60R16, which is one reason why I went to 15 inch winter wheels.

Some alloy wheels are listed as suitable for winter use , some are not. Probably because they have a more durable paint finish. Its best to avoid ones with diamond cut polished alloy areas as these are only protected by clear lacquer . Easily damaged and road salt etc can penetrate behind the lacquer and cause corrosion .
New steel wheels may not be much cheaper than some alloys . If the wheels dont fit your next car , alloys may be easier to sell for a better price.
My car came with 16" wheels but I too bought 15" wheels and winter tyres. (winter legal all seasons in my case) There was much more choice of tyre in 15" and much cheaper than the same tyre in 16" . I saved enough on tyres to pay half the cost of the wheels. You can compare tyre/wheel sizes on the following site

I bought my new 2024 Crosstar with rim/tires combo 195/55R16 (in addition to the original 185/60 R16 summer tires)
Rim: IMAGE Comet Grey 6X16 4/100 ET45 with Nokian Hakkapelitta 10
This rim is exactly the same dimensions as the original R16 rims on the Crosstar and I could use the original bolts to fasten the tires. This rim is also approved for winter use

I bought 15" Rial Milano 4x100 J6 ET45 . They are available in 16" but I think these are 6.5J and a different ET but may still be suitable. As with most aftermarket alloys the centre bore is adjusted to 56.1 using spigot rings
