Title: CVT - when hot ok for Rear but not drive
Post by: XovoX on August 17, 2024, 09:49:19 AM
Hi all, follow forum since a time from France but didn't subscribe.
I've a problem with my 2004 CVT, L13A1 - SWRA.

No particular work before
When motor or weather is hot
Change from P to D, S or L
Don't move, even in manual
R is working fine
No problem when motor or weather is cold

Honda don't want to check the problem cause don't open automatic transmission.
Honda changed the oil by atfz1, problem continues.

Does anyone know how to solve the problem ? Didn't see the same problem on the forum in the 70 first pages ??? And didn't find by search tool.

Thanks for everyone who can answer, I really love this car, and for my wife health problems A/T it's really cool.

When you move the selector does the corresponding letter show in the instrument panel? I'm wondering whether it is an issue with the contacts in the selector lever (assuming that's how it works) such that the cvt controller just isn't getting sent the signals.
Typical of poor contacts,  sometimes it will work,  under other conditions it might not, and some positions might be OK while adjacent positions might not.
Just guessing I'm afraid.

Thanks for your answer, the corresponding letter is well lighted.

Did anyone heard about a stoppered cooling atf pipe ? Or a atf pump malfunction ?
