How much does a replacement key cost for a Mk3 Jazz
My cousin has been quoted over £400 !!!!!

Cost depends on what sort of key your cousin needs, ie remote key, “dumb” key, keyless ignition, etc, whether he/she still has a key that can be copied, and whether the vendor has to travel to the customer. Timpsons can do it, have a look here …

A Honda dealer was quoting her over £480 and that is daylight robbery.

Depending on model the key has to be coded for the car. I'm surprised the third party companies have the tech, I thought it was a MARIS job

The last I read was £270 from a dealer so the price has rocketed

If its a Smart entry model, then the key alone is £350

Registered car key technicians are able to produce a "new" key for any vehicle.
I was with a local chap who helped tourists get their brand new MBenz going after the only key was lost in the sandhills.
You need to tell the car a series of actions via device.
