Title: Battery Booster/Powerbank
Post by: Mr Onion on September 28, 2023, 10:51:30 AM
The Booster I bought some 7 years ago has died (well, its not holding charge any more) so I am looking for a new one. The Ring RPPL200  looks good VFM @ ~£50 but has anyone else have alternative ideas?

Thanks, looking at that topic, and doing more research I like the look of MSC Overland

bought one, looks good, feels quality, supplier gives good response to queries i had.
Like others the leads are really just to 'jump' on battery terminals, given sealed batteries now, safe enough seems to be the concensus.

I've recently purchased the YABER Jump Starter Power Pack from Amazon after being stranded in Liverpool with a flat battery and waiting for the AA to assist for over two hours.

Actually needed to use the Power Pack last week, and it started my car first time. Excellent piece of kit, and gone are the long waiting times for the AA next time I have a flat battery.

After more testing my existing battery is certainly on its way out (dropped by 25% in 14 days) so I have ordered just a MSC Overland. Just need to visit the council tip to dispose of the old battery and all will be good
